Good food and good eating habits
A question I get asked a lot, “I want to lose weight fast”.
My response is something like “Let’s be realistic about everything including timescales and what your diet consists of? ”
In Unani/Tibb principles diet is broken down into three levels :
1) a necessary diet ;
2) a sufficient diet;
3) a supplementary diet.
An equilibrium should be sought. A ‘sufficient diet’ is one that preserves the body against debilitation. These thoughts are especially for those individuals embarked on strenuous calorie deficit diets for fitness regimes or after child birth.
For those unable to access my services due to limited financial circumstances, could benefit from a diet comprising of one third food, one third water, one third air (ie., stomach remains empty) and light exercise. The latter is almost always helpful for physical and mental wellbeing.
